A Journey through the Seasons — Yoga at the Japanese Gardens

I am so excited to be practicing back here this year! These beautiful gardens were where some of my early personal yoga practices took place.

I loved visiting the gardens so much and started practicing here with my friend and guide Alexandra in 2008, practicing yoga outdoors within nature brought such deep transformative experiences for me that I began teaching classes here. I wanted to share the profound beauty this place holds and invite others to experience yoga outside…. Since 2010 We have had many beautiful sessions here and I’m delighted to return and open these sessions up again —with an invitation for you to join me for the first session on April 26th.

It’s going to be a SPRING SOUND BOWL MEDITATION + YOGA BODY DETOX —VIBRATION SESSION
Infused with raw juice + dried fruits 


In this session I will guide you through a refreshing and detoxifying Body Vibration and twist flow with Mula Banda ( root lock) to strengthen and support the body’s natural detoxification systems and abdominal organ cleansing.
Sessions are within within the beautiful outdoor Japanese garden space, surrounded by nature with the sounds of birds and the breeze!  Followed by relaxation underneath the sky, where you’ll feel cocooned by the elements ready to absorb breath, guided meditation and the Sound bowl frequencies into your body.

Here You will be guided into breath and stillness—practices of light and openness for body and mind cleansing to increase energy levels and clear out any last holding of stagnation from our winter bodies! A time to get fresh and free, just as we see nature waking up from her resting phase full of vitality.

There’s so much incredible new growth to see emerging here in the gardens during spring, the trees, flowers and pond hold a magical place for you to be present and tune into nature.

These sessions will continue to be planned as a regular class Offering each month as we journey through the seasons from May- November 15th when the season comes to a close and nature goes into deep rest until the return for spring again!

Each month you’ll experience different practices as you journey through the seasons and ever changing colours of the garden, with an infusion of yoga asana practices that compliment what’s occuring in nature and offer you an experience to embody the elements each month and watch how the seasons and your body shift and change.

There is something inherently sacred and beautiful about bringing awareness to the rhythms of the seasons and changes in your body as we live through them. These sessions offer nature embodiment with yoga practices combined into the body! We will be practicing various yoga asanas, meditation and pranayama breath work practices that will help you feel more connected to your internal and external rhythms as they flow with the changes in temperature, light exposure and diversity in nature and in food month by month.

I’m also infusing these sessions with raw juice smoothies, selected herbal Tea Meditations, Raw hot Cacao drink and warm soups chosen to compliment these qualities and elements within each month as we visit nature deeply here, tasting, digesting and harnessing changes around and within.

After the session you’ll have time to walk around the gardens and the gift shop to explore and relax.
